201 stainless steel round bar is a versatile material commonly used in the production of watch cases, watch band components, and similar applications. This grade of stainless steel is characterized by a round cross-section, with a polished surface free of defects such as bubbles or pinholes.
Compared to other stainless steel grades, AISI 201 is generally more cost-effective. Additionally, it offers advantages for welding applications, as it experiences less carbide precipitation and localized corrosion compared to some higher-alloyed stainless steels.
Beyond the standard round bar form, 201 stainless steel can also be produced in a variety of surface finishes, including black, bright, pickled white, and others.
