The 200 series stainless steel was first developed in the United States during World War II as a replacement for the 300 Series stainless steel.
China mainly has the following 200 series steel: J1, J3, J4, 201,202. Later, 200 steel with lower nickel content control appeared. As for 201C, it was the extension of 201 steel developed by individual steel mills in China in this late period. The national standard grade of 201 is: Old brand 1Cr17Mn6Ni5N, new brand: 12Cr17Mn6Ni5N 201C continues to reduce nickel content and increase manganese content on the basis of 201.
Application
201 stainless steel plate is mainly used for decorative pipe, industrial pipe, some shallow tensile products.201 stainless steel plate has the ability to resist general corrosion similar to the unstable nichcr 304. Prolonged heating of 201 stainless steel plates in the chrome-carbide degree temperature range may affect alloy 321 stainless steel plates and 347 in harsh corrosive media. 201 Stainless steel plates are mainly used for high temperature applications, which require the material to have strong sensitization resistance to prevent intergranular corrosion at lower temperatures.
