Product Details
304 is a widely used stainless steel material. It is widely used in industry, furniture decoration industry and food and medical industry. 304 has the characteristics of good machining performance and high toughness. It has good corrosion resistance, mainly because it contains 18%-20% chromium and 8%-10% nickel. If used in the food industry, it contains 18% chromium and 8% nickel, allowing a certain range of fluctuation, and limits the content of various heavy metals.
304L is a variant of 304 stainless steel with lower carbon content and is used for welding applications. The lower carbon content minimizes carbides precipitation in the heat-affected zone near the weld, which can lead to intergranular corrosion (welding erosion) in stainless steel in some environments.
